Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going to appear in
major-screen comedies such as 'Elf 'Anchorman,' and Talladega Nights. Will
Ferrell was born in Irvine in 1967. He began his comedy career as a member of the
group based in Los Angeles, The Groundlings. Following his famed seven-year
stint as a part of Saturday Night Live, he was one of the film industry's top
comedic drawcards with off-color hits like Old School (2003) and Anchorman: The
Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004). Ferrell also co-founded the popular video
streaming site Funny or Die, and was a successful voiceover actor on animated
movies like Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell, born on July 16, 1967, in
Irvine, California. Will Ferrell was the eldest child of Righteous Brothers
keyboardist Lee Ferrell as well as teacher Kay Ferrell. He was himself, as he
admitted was not exactly the class clown when he was a University High School
student. He was quiet and quiet and he opted to play football who set a school
record for the most field goals made. Ferrell was not a fan of the absurd,
humorous behaviour that would determine his career even in his suburban home.
"Very even-tempered and comfortable," his mother recalled in an
interview with Esquire. "You know those little Matchbox cars? Will be
lining up his Matchbox cars, by himself, and be totally happy. It would be a
simple question "Do you wish to visit Disneyland this morning?" or
"You want your cars lined up?" It's a hard conversation for him to
think about. Ferrell wasn't a perfect straight man but that's not to say he was
not. One of Ferrell's comedy talents was displayed each morning at high school
when the actor disguised himself to announce what was happening on the PA
system. Ferrell was a graduate in 1986, and enrolled at the University of
Southern California in Los Angeles. There he was a member of the Delta Tau
fraternity to pursue a degree as a sports journalist.
