Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop boy
band formed in the year 2009. The group is composed of Kendall Schmidt and
James Maslow along with Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. They first signed
with Nick Records in 2009 before switching to Columbia Records. The group
appeared in Nickelodeon’s show on television called Big Time Rush. The show
aired from November 28, 2009, to July 25, 2013. The premiere episode introduced
the group's debut promotional single, "Big Time Rush". The band
recorded three albums: BTR in 2010, Elevate , and 24/Seven in 2013. The group
took an indefinite hiatus in 2014 that ran until 2021. they resumed live shows
and released their single "Call It Like I See It". Nickelodeon signed
Big Time Rush to an album deal in the year 2009, alongside its TV series, Big
Time Rush. Nickelodeon collaborated with Columbia/Epic Label Group for
production and original music. The series' first single, "Big Time
Rush" came out on November 29 in 2009. Officially released on Nickelodeon
the song first aired in the U.S. November 2009 and was later broadcast
worldwide. It debuted during a preview of the show. The theme is currently the
show’s opening theme. The series also saw release of promotional singles,
including "City is Ours" and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time
Rush also covered a Play song titled "Famous". The song was first
released on iTunes on June 29th 2010. The second track, "Halfway
There", was also released on iTunes after it's premiere on the series. The
song quickly became the first to chart on Billboard Hot 100. Due to digital
sales the track climbed to 93. On September 21 the 21st of September, 2010 Big
Time Rush released second single "Till I Forget About You", to
promote the debut album's release. On October 11, 2010 the album, dubbed BTR it
was released to the general public. The album reached the top 3 spot on the
Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies within its first week.
