Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born the 2nd of December, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. Britney was a dancer as a youngster and was an excellent gymnast. She won numerous competitions. But, perhaps most importantly, Britney loved to sing. At the age of 8, Britney tried out for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), but was denied because of her age. This directed her to an off-Broadway production, "Ruthless", for an entire two-year run as the lead character. When she was 11 years old, she auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989). It was a different time, she was a mouseketeer along with many other current stars, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez (*NSYNC) and Ryan Gosling. Her biggest breakthrough, however, came after she was signed as Jive Recording Artists in the late 1990s. Britney was an enormous success following her first album, "Baby one more time." "...Baby one more time" in 1999. The album sold over 13 million copies (as of July 2001) and her second album "Oops !...I did it Again" and was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has a big brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was born to be an upcoming star at a young age. Britney loved singing and was inspired by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Britney was a candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on the television when she was 8. But she was not old enough for the role. Britney and her infant sister Britney relocated to New York, where she was featured in numerous TV commercials as well as in an off Broadway production called "Ruthless", under the guidance of Natalie Portman. Then, two years later the passion for dance and music began to take over. She auditioned for a second time for a role on "Mickey Mouse" and was chosen with Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
